From our latest charity sale, one of the donations went to Sherwood FC, a local grassroots football club that has been supporting young people and families in the Sherwood community for more than 30 years.
With the ethos of “Football, Friends, Fun”, the club places a strong emphasis on teamwork, player development and fair play, while working hard to ensure that no child is excluded from playing because of financial circumstances. The club currently supports five players with their football costs and is looking to establish a formal hardship fund to help cover membership fees, football boots and waterproof coats for families who need additional support.
We were delighted to support Sherwood FC through the proceeds of our charity sale, with the cheque presented to the club during their team presentation day in June. It was fantastic to see the donation go towards a club that plays such an important role in bringing young people together, building confidence and creating opportunities within the local community.
Supporting local organisations like Sherwood FC is exactly what our charity sale is all about, turning items that might otherwise go to waste into valuable funds for causes making a genuine difference in their communities.
