Pedalling from Notts to Skegness for Nottinghamshire Hospice 🚲

Each year, colleagues from across the business take part in the annual Skegness Bike Ride, taking on an 80-mile challenge from Caffe Velo Verde in Car Colston to The Royal Hotel in Skegness, all while raising money for charity.

This year, Nottinghamshire Hospice was one of our chosen charities, and our brilliant bikers, along with fundraising efforts from colleagues across the business, helped raise an incredible £6,601.77.

The ride itself is an epic 80-mile journey through some incredibly scenic parts of Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, with several support cars following the route to provide everything riders might need along the way, from bike pumps, inner tubes and repair kits to snacks, water and drinks.

This year's group tackled the challenge in temperatures reaching 25°C, eventually making it all the way to the beach in Skegness. It was another fantastic adventure for our team of riders, with plenty of hard work, determination and fundraising taking place along the way.

Following the fundraising efforts, Matt L presented a cheque for £6,601.77 to representatives from Nottinghamshire Hospice, with Matt D there to capture the moment as part of a documentary we're making about the ride.

A huge well done to everyone who took part, as well as everyone who rode, baked and donated to help make this year's fundraising such a success. Plans are already being put together for next year's ride, so we're looking forward to seeing what the next adventure brings!
