At King’s Mill Hospital in Mansfield, the Emily Harris Foundation is making a quiet but powerful difference. Founded on personal experience and close collaboration with hospital staff, the charity supports families of babies in neonatal care, often during the most difficult moments of their lives.
Their work focuses on alleviating the financial pressures many families face when their baby is admitted to the Neonatal Unit. This includes help with daily transport costs, meal vouchers, and essential welcome packs, small gestures that have a huge emotional and practical impact. The charity also works to enhance the comfort of the unit’s family accommodation, helping parents stay close to their babies.
Beyond supporting families, the Foundation also provides funding for specialist staff training; crucial development opportunities that the NHS is often unable to cover. This ensures that babies receive the very best care, not just today, but in the years to come.
We were fortunate to visit the unit and see this incredible work first-hand. As part of our charity raffle initiative, we were pleased to offer our support with a donation and 11 Tonies boxes, complete with character sets, to bring comfort and enrichment to babies during their stay.
A heartfelt thank you to Clare and the whole team at the Emily Harris Foundation. Your compassion and dedication are truly inspiring, and we’re proud to play a small part in supporting your mission.
