This past year, we proudly partnered with Portland College to reintroduce supported internships, strengthening our commitment to being an inclusive and disability-friendly employer. These internships provide real-world work experience, giving interns the opportunity to develop skills and confidence as they prepare to enter the workforce.
We began by hosting a site visit for eight interested candidates, giving them a tour of our facilities and demonstrating the types of roles available within our company. After interviewing candidates and holding successful trial days, we were delighted to offer placements to two interns, both of whom have since become valued members of our team.
Running three to four days a week during term time, these internships provide a supportive environment for our interns to grow, learn, and contribute meaningfully to our business. This initiative reflects our commitment to diversity and inclusion, helping to build a stronger and more dynamic workforce.
